LeBron James Agrees Two-Year Deal With Philadelphia 76ers
NBA legend LeBron James has agreed to join the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year, $8 million contract, ending weeks of speculation over his future after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 41-year-old, who will enter his 24th NBA season, said the move was motivated by his desire to continue competing for another championship rather than financial reasons.
The deal reportedly includes a player option and reunites James with a star-studded Philadelphia roster featuring Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and newly acquired Jaylen Brown.
James described the decision as his “last” in the NBA, expressing confidence that he can help the 76ers challenge for their first NBA title since 1983 as he embarks on the final chapter of his illustrious career.
