Champions League Kick Off With A New Look.

This Season’s UEFA Champions League kicked off on Tuesday with a new format. Italian Giants Juventus opened this season’s competition with a 3-1 win over dutch side PSV Eidhoven as Aston Villa marked their 41 year long return to the competition with a 3-0 win over Young Boys.

Bayern Munich cruised through Dinamo Zagreb with a 9-2 win at the Allianz thanks to 4 goals from last season’s Golden Boot winner Harry Kane while Real Madrid began their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Stuttgart through a Kylian Mbappe opener. Portuguese giants Sporting aced Lille 2-0 in portugal to maintain a strong start as Liverpool came from behind to power past AC Milan 3-1 at the San Siro.

With more games to follow today, the first day of the new look UEFA Champions League season proved to be both eventful and entertaining even as stars like Manchester City’s Rodri and Liverpool’s goalkeeper Allison showed their disapproval to the increased number of games, without a doubt, the highest competitive level of club football is back and the intensity and entertainment levels are higher than ever.
