A terrorist attack has struck the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) near Ankara, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
The incident involved a large explosion followed by gunfire, according to local media reports.
Turkey's Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, confirmed the attack on social media, stating that the TUSAS facilities in Kahramankazan were targeted.
While the exact number of casualties remains unclear, Yerlikaya referred to the victims as "martyrs and injured people."
TUSAS is a key player in Turkey's defense and aviation sector, known for producing the KAAN, Turkey's first national combat aircraft.
The perpetrators behind this attack have not been identified, but similar incidents in the past have involved Kurdish militants, the Islamic State group, and leftist extremists.
Security forces have secured the area, and investigations are ongoing as authorities work to gather more information about this tragic event.
