Adidas Set to Become NFF Kit Partner in $8.5m Deal.
The Nigeria Football Federation is set to begin a new partnership with Adidas in a deal reportedly worth $8.5 million annually, following the expiration of its existing agreement with Nike.
Under the proposed agreement, Adidas will commit $4.5 million in cash each year, while a further $4 million will come in the form of kits, equipment and other sporting gear for Nigeria’s national teams.
The arrangement will see the German sportswear company take over from Nike as the official technical partner of Nigerian football, supplying the national teams with their playing and training apparel.
The substantial value of the agreement represents a major commercial opportunity for the NFF and could provide additional resources for the development and preparation of Nigeria’s national teams.
The switch to Adidas will also usher in a new visual identity for the Super Eagles and the country’s other national sides as they enter the next phase of their international campaigns.
