Turning Point Support for JD Vance’s 2028 Bid “In the Works,” Says Erika Kirk

Erika Kirk announced over the weekend that Turning Point’s backing of Vice President JD Vance for a possible 2028 presidential campaign is actively being prepared.

At a live event in Glendale, Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA’s founder Charlie Kirk and now the CEO of the organization, stated that plans to support Vice President JD Vance in the next presidential race are “in the works.” Kirk emphasized that her late husband was “very direct” about wanting to back Vance for 2028, highlighting that it was one of their final discussions.

Kirk’s comments come as Vance takes on a more visible role within Turning Point circles and as the organization prepares for the upcoming election cycles.

She noted the group’s ongoing commitment to promoting young conservative leadership and suggested that an official endorsement for Vance is likely forthcoming.

While Vance himself has not formally announced a 2028 campaign, he remains a prominent figure in the movement, recently participating in Turning Point initiatives and public events.

Kirk reiterated that supporting Vance aligns with the legacy and vision that Charlie Kirk established for the organization.
