Ademola Lookman Crowned 2024 CAF African Player of the Year.

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has been named the 2024 CAF African Player of the Year, capping off a remarkable year for the Atalanta star.

The prestigious award was presented at a glittering ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday evening.

Lookman's exceptional performances for both club and country propelled him to the top of African football. His three goals and two assists were crucial in Nigeria's journey to the Africa Cup of Nations final earlier this year. At the club level, Lookman's hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final led Atalanta to their first major title in 61 years.

The 27-year-old edged out strong competition from Ivory Coast's Simon Adingra, Morocco's Achraf Hakimi, Guinea's Serhou Guirassy, and South Africa's Ronwen Williams to claim the coveted award.
