Netanyahu Issues Ultimatum to Hamas: Release Remaining Hostages or Face Renewed Gaza Offensive

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today that Israel will resume “intense fighting” in Gaza unless Hamas releases the remaining nine hostages designated under “Phase 1” of the ceasefire agreement by noon on Saturday.

The warning followed a meeting of Israel’s Security Cabinet which held today, heightening tensions as the fragile truce approaches a critical deadline.

Hamas are yet to respond and have come under intense pressure to continue with the cease-fire deal.
