Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has unveiled a sweeping plan to invest $110 billion over the next decade to develop a self-sufficient domestic arms industry, as the military declared it had achieved its objectives after 40 days of operations against Iran.

Netanyahu said the initiative, approved at 350 billion shekels, is aimed at reducing Israel’s reliance on foreign partners, including longstanding allies, while strengthening its military edge. “We want to reduce our dependence on any party, even on friends,” he said, adding that

The announcement comes as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported significant gains from its recent campaign against Iran, claiming the operation had left the Iranian regime at its “weakest point” in decades.

According to the military, 28 senior Iranian commanders were eliminated, about 250 air defense systems destroyed, and roughly 60 percent of ballistic missile launch platforms rendered inoperative.

The IDF said more than 4,000 targets were struck during the operation, including over 4,600 airstrikes in Tehran alone. Chief of Staff officials indicated that Iran will now remain Israel’s primary military focus, warning that forces are ready to resume operations if necessary.
