Mmesoma Ejike

Mmesoma Ejike is a Nigerian brilliant chap of Igbo extraction, from a relatively poor family. This girl child has shown consistently over the years that despite her financially challenged background, that she is willing to take the options offered to her by education to build a future that anyone that knows her would be proud of.

Mmesoma is one of the beneficiaries of the many reforms of Mr. Peter Obi in the education sector when he was the Governor of Anambra which his predecessors have sustained uptil now. Anambra ever since then have consistently been on the map for excellence in primary and secondary education.

The trauma caused by the news released by an agency of the Federal government that was once bold enough to broadcast on national television that a mystery snake had swallowed funds earmarked for projects within the agency, despite having not concluded their investigations shows how inept and poorly coordinated the agency is.

For a Lady who wrote her examinations herself, went to the cyber cafe and printed this same result which we all saw, to be accused of having doctored her result, with every boldness by the agency states a bit more clearly how terribly messed up our institutions in this country are. More painful is the fact that there would still not be sanctions after the investigation which we may never get to see the reports.

This is the future of a minor in every shape and form who has shown a track record of excellence over the years about to be messed around with, by some inefficient “hawks” holding very sensitive positions in the country. We must not allow them to get away with their inefficiencies as they must conduct this investigation as openly as possible and make sure that everyone found complicit in this madness is indicted and punished appropriately, be it the JAMB officials or the child.
