Israeli negotiators head to Egypt for more talks on ceasefire.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has sent negotiators to Cairo to continue talks with Egyptian authorities regarding a ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza.

The talks are scheduled to start on Sunday. This comes as the US keeps on urging Israel not to invade Rafah. The Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant, was in the US this weekend to discuss Israel's Rafah plans with top Pentagon officials including US defense secretary Lloyd Austin.

Gallant also warned that Israel will up its attacks on Hezbollah across the region. Hezbollah has so far refused calls to stop its cross border attacks on Israel and withdraw from the border.

Earlier in the week Hezbollah confirmed an Israeli airstrike near Aleppo in Syria, killed its members. Reports said dozens of Syrian soldiers were also killed in the attack.
