At least 29 People have been killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli air strike on a camp for displaced people outside a school in southern Gaza in the late hours of Tuesday.
According to eye witnesses, the attack resulted in widespread destruction and the deaths of women and children as body parts were scattered across the site and many people staying in tents outside the school were also injured.
The incident comes a week after the Israeli military ordered civilians to evacuate the region. The Israeli military said it had used "precise munition" to target a "terrorist from Hamas military wing" who is said to have taken part in the October 7 attack on Israel.
Hamas has warned that the latest raids in Gaza City could lead to the collapse of negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage release deal.
Israel and Hamas had appeared to narrow the gaps in recent days, with the US, Egypt and Qatar mediating but Israel has rejected any deal that would force it to end the war with Hamas intact.
