Paul Pogba’s suspension for a failed drugs test has been reduced to 18 months, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The 31-year-old midfielder had originally faced a potentially career-ending four-year ban along with a substantial fine in March.
However, following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the sentence has reportedly been shortened, allowing Pogba to return to training as early as January.
“I have today been informed of the Tribunale Nazionale Antidoping’s decision and believe the verdict is incorrect,” Pogba shared on social media at the time. “I am sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything I have built in my professional playing career has been taken away from me.
“When I am free of legal restrictions the full story will become clear, but I have never knowingly or deliberately taken any supplements that violate anti-doping regulations.”
It’s now suggested that Pogba could make his comeback to the Juventus squad as early as March 2025.
