Huw Edwards: BBC presenter in sexual allegations named.

Huw Edwards has been named as the BBC Presenter in the middle of sexual allegations. Edwards was last on air about a week ago and has been named by his wife as the BBC Presenter accused of paying a teenager to send inappropriate sexual pictures.

The BBC had been put in the spotlight last week when sexual allegations against a top Presenter was revealed in the Sun Newspaper and it sparked a flurry of comments and false accusations against BBC Presenters which caused calls for the Presenter to come forward.

Huw Edwards has worked for the BBC for four decades and has covered multiple high profile events like the death and funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen's Diamond and Platinum Jubilees, the weddings of Prince William and Kate and of Prince Harry and Meghan, the death of Nelson Mandela and inauguration of former President Barack Obama.

Huw is one of the highest paid BBC Presenter earning over £400,000 annually. Huw's wife, Vicky Flind, released a statement acknowledging her husband was the accused, called for privacy and said she was concerned about his mental health. In a statement she said "In light of the recent reporting regarding the 'BBC Presenter' I am making this statement on behalf of my husband Huw Edwards, after what have been five extremely difficult days for our family. I am doing this primarily out of concern for his mental well-being and to protect our children."

Vicky Flind also announced her husband was "receiving in-patient hospital care where he will stay for the foreseeable future." The metropolitan police revealed so far they haven't found evidence of criminal offence, but the BBC disclosed they're still carrying out their investigations.
