2027: Peter Obi not fit to lead Nigeria — Soyinka.

Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka criticized Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, calling him "unfit" to lead Nigeria in an interview with Noble Eyisi on Thursday.

Obi, who finished third in the 2023 presidential election behind Atiku Abubakar (PDP) and Bola Tinubu (APC), was discouraged by Soyinka from running in the 2027 election.

Soyinka attributed Obi's unfitness to the conduct he allegedly encouraged among his followers, which Soyinka described as divisive and dishonest.

He expressed disappointment in political leaders who promote such behavior, warning they might face backlash from those they incite.
