La Liga returned after an eventful Champions League, Barcelona had yet another disappointing performance with a 2-1 defeat at home to Las Palmas, Atletico Madrid thrumped Real Vallalolid.

Real Madrid bounced back from the midweek Champions League defeat to Liverpool by pulling off a fine 2-0 victory over Getafe, Girona managed an eventful 3-3 draw with Villarreal away.

Bayern Munich survived a scared with a late 1-1 equalizer against Borussia Dortmund in another Bundesliga spectacular weekend.

Defending champions Bayer Leverkusen came clutching with a late 2-1 victory over Union Berlin as Leipzig were thrashed 5-1 at home by Wolfsburg.

Ac Milan were back to winning ways in the Serie A with a 3-0 victory over Empoli, Napoli maintained first position with a 1-0 victory over Torino, Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by Leece.

The game between Fiorentina and Inter Milan was abandoned after a devastating situation saw Fiorentina player Edoardo Bove collapse on the field as he was rushed to the hospital and remains in intensive care.
