Anthony Joshua: My career Is Far From Over
Former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua reiterates fans that he will not retire and says his career is "far from over" after knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley on Saturday night.
The British boxer of Nigerian descent lost his all important match against Dubois after being knocked out in the fifth round of their Heavyweight title fight, as he looked to become a three-time boxing Heavyweight champion. It was a fourth career defeat in thirty two matches for Joshua following losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022, and underdog Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019.
In a message posted on social media, Joshua responded to those calling for him to hang his gloves by saying he will bounce back from the defeat. “It’s far from over” Joshua said “we’ve done it once, we’ve done it twice, doing it a third time hasn’t been easy but I believe it’s something i can achieve”.
With a fight against Tyson Fury now increasingly unlikely, it is rumored that Joshua had a rematch clause with Dubois.
