European Football Weekend Roundup

The last rounds of European Football before the Christmas break is fast heating up. In the English Premier League, the merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton was postponed due to has harsh weather conditions.

Manchester City were held to a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace while Manchester United were defeated yet again at Old Trafford by Nottingham Forest 3-2. Chelsea fought from 2-0 down in a sensational comeback to defeat Tottenham 4-3 while Arsenal had to fight for a 1-1 draw with Fulham.

Barcelona continued a disappointing run of form as they dropped yet another point with a 2-2 draw against Real Betis as Real Madrid ran a 3-0 riot over Girona. Atletico Madrid survived a scare with a 4-3 win over Sevilla

Bundesliga returned as Bayer Leverkusen snatched a 2-1 victory over St Pauli while Bayern Munich won 4-2 against Heidenheim as Borussia Dortmund were held to a 1-1 draw with Borussia M’gladbach. Leipzig were back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Holstein Kiel.

In Serie A, Juventus were held to a 2-2 draw with Bologna as Roma thrumped Lecce 4-1 while league leaders Napoli were defeated 1-0 by Lazio. Inter win Parma 3-1 while Ademola Lookman guided Atalanta once again to a 2-1 upset of AC Milan in a man of the match display.
