Two bodies recovered after Baltimore bridge collapse
Two bodies have been recovered from a submerged truck that fell into the Patapsco River after a container ship hit the Francis Scott Key Bridge. Six workers who had been missing since the collapse are now presumed dead.
The bodies recovered are of two men, identified as Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 35, of Baltimore, and Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, 26 of Dundalk. Mr. Fuentes was from Mexico, and Mr. Cabrera is from Guatemala.
Two other missing victims, who are presumed dead, have also been named: Miguel Luna from El Salvador and Maynor Suazo Sandoval, a Honduran citizen.
Officials boarded the container ship yesterday to retrieve the ship's data recorder, which can help them better understand what caused the ship to hit the bridge. The US Coast Guard has assured the families of the missing workers that everything will be done to give them "closure."
